Antec 1200

This isn't a review as such, but rather just some images of the case. As most people know, the Antec 1200 is a full tower version of the popular 900 with many tweaks and revisions. The cable management in this case is simply superb, though I need to get some extension cables for the PCI-E power cables, the 24pin power cable and the 8pin power cable before mine will be looking nice and neat.

These images are about as good as they can be coming from my phone. (It's off topic, but parts of my vodka bottle collection are visible in some of the pictures! )

It makes me sad that x58 includes both PS/2 and ATA.

What happened to the TJ09? Decide not to get one after all?

Nice build though. Is there room in front of the hard drive bays for mounting the drives backwards so the cables won't show?

I didn't want to wait for the TJ09 to be imported, it would have taken too long so I went with the Antec 1200 instead. I haven't tried mounting the HDDs backwards, that might work. Once I route the PCI-E and motherboard power cables properly the case will be much cleaner.

I've had this Microsoft keyboard for yonks. I've tried a few gaming keyboards and just didn't like them. When they stop including PS/2 ports on the motherboard I'll buy a USB -> PS/2 adapter so I can keep using this keyboard.

*if* (doubtful) I ever go with a stock case for a monster rig I plan on buying in a year or two when I get a good job...I'll probably build in the 1200.

I take it that you did properly dispose of the Vodka before putting the bottles in you collection?

That Antec 1200 does looks like a nice case, though

The more i see of it, the more i like it...but now i would have a hard time deciding between the 1200 and the CM HAF 932.

**** Looks good Mandrake. BTW, you can buy a Digital camera for $50..and it'll still give a decent pic.. hint hint.

But your wood case looks so nice. How could you ever leave it, unless you built a slightly bigger one.
