The "falcon" is out which was a die shrink of the CPU. As well as a modded heatsink and smaller power supply (small as in uses less power, not physically smaller).

There have been rumored sitings for xboxes made after 8/8/08 IIRC but I don't think it's wide spread yet.

Well, to use the Netflix addon, you have to be a Gold member. Yeah...that's bullsh*t. Why?
Anyway, I guess I won't be using the Netflix streaming with my XBOX 360. To bad, since it might look better than thru my PC.

Otherwise, the update isn't that bad. I just wish they would stop pushing Gold memberships. That just sucks.

I love the new option, the menu thing is weird, maybe if I skin it like Sim's [or any other skin], it would look better.

I like the "Install Game" option. That's it so far. The whole "create avatar" whatever crap reminds me too much of the Wii.

Can't wait for M$ to round up some more money by offering 500 GB hard drives

Can you just replace hard drives or do you need to clone the OS or some sh it? I honestly have no idea.

I wish. You have to buy MS's hard drive, which only goes up to 120GB (for about $150USD). That's crap. I wish they would employ the same hard drive swapping capability as the PS3, but noooooo...that would take $$$ from MS's obviously low bank account.

I would, but I don't play online (which is the jist of Gold memberships). Add the fact that I am a Netflix member...there should be an option to just run it by accessing our Netflix accounts. Like I said, more $$$ for MS, by forcing Netflix users, who aren't Gold members to get Gold memberships.

Great. Now Sony has pulled their movies from the XBOX 360 Netflix streaming service.
Wow...that seems a bit petty, but I guess it's Sony's right. It only affects XBOX 360 Netflix, and no one else.

Hey SF, you can swap the HDD with a certain WD Scorpio drive that sells on the Egg for $56. But you have to mod the firmware on it with the Xbox 360 stuff and that's a bit tricky. I have a link for it at work I can post tomorrow.

I tired the install a game to HD and tried playing the game from the HD and I can safely say this - it sped it up a little, but not enough to really need or want to keep all my games on the HD. I did this experiment with Mass Effect, which has multiple load zones. The game didn't really "feel" faster, but the load times were a bit quicker, by a few seconds. So, far that is the only game I tried. Since I have a the lowly 20GB HD, and only have 5GB left on my HD, I cannot install multiple games (120GB, I am looking at you). I might try Assassin's Creed and Fable II next, maybe GTA IV, but there wasn't too many load zones in GTA IV.

I am still tweaked about the Netflix being Gold member only. That kind of blows, but I can still stream Netflix thru my HTPC, so it's a wash.
