Rehab is by far the toughest thing for me. I broke my left femur and my left wrist + growthplate skiing and I wanted to be able to play baseball that coming spring. Naturally I pushed myself too hard and fast, and my growth plate didn't heal properly, so my left hand is a tiny bit smaller than my right

My leg still hurts when it gets cold outside and it looks like I have a rubber band around it when I do squats or leg extensions.

One crappy thing about my wrist, is that is gives out every once in awhile. As in collapses and I can't stop it. I rarely have a spotter when I'm benching anything other than my max or shooting for anew max, but luckily one day my buddy was standing and talking to me while I was warming up when my wrist gave out. I had just finished a set and was putting the bar back up and it gave out, bounced off the bar supports and hit me right in the mouth. My friend caught the bar and saved all my teeth and maybe more. Luckily I only chipped my front two teeth and cut my lips, but 225lbs of steel crashing from a couple feet up could have done a lot more damage. I think about it every single time I bench
Ouch. I hated rehab more than most people because most of my injuries were lousy freak things. I tore a muscle in my right hip in fall 03' when I simply took a step... got it well after two months and was going strong until the next spring and then I pulled a left groin when my trailing foot caught the tip of a hurdle in an obstacle course and the hurdle didn't come down. Another 5-6 weeks and then I was good for awhile. Next fall, all of the kickers got fired off of our football team so I got a shot and won the job. I went from 0 kicking to booting tons of field goals and kickoffs each day. Within three weeks, I couldn't run anymore because my right leg had a massive bulge in it. A massive hematoma+torn right quad meant no sports for three months. I worked back to playing while under limited workouts and got cleared for full workouts two days before my birthday. Needless to say, the next day, I was in basketball practice and after jumping for a rebound, I looked down just inside to see the bottom of my right foot get turned right back toward my face. I had a grade 4/4 ankle sprain that just missed needing surgery. 4 months later, I rushed back to play summer league football to ensure that I wouldn't be benched for my whole senior season. I needed to wait another two months before coming back and so my ankle was battered in football and basketball further. I used a LOT of athletic tape that year. My right knee actually got twisted a full 180 degress and I still count it a miracle that it did no damage outside of being stiff for 10 days.

I now have a permanently screwed up right leg and ankle with not much to show for it. Enough of the sob story... any kid of mine that ever gets hurt playing sports will not be allowed to rush back to anything.

My Dad was scholarshipped to play (what, at the time was called) "blocking back" for U of MN and in his senior year of high school, at a pre game warmup some kid from the JV team was screwing around and dove and destroyed my Dad's knee. Ruined his career and he is the one who wakes me up in the middle of the night after I throw to put more ice on my shoulder

He really wanted me to shoot for Single A or Double A ball but I'm too laid back to be that competitive. I'd rather stick to amateur baseball and softball where I can be a standout Softball is like playing teeball with 3rd graders when you are 16. It's just plain fun being Godzilla 3 nights a week

    Do it to it!

I'm moving in with my aunt/uncle and 2 younger cousins this summer (cheap and lots of jobs around here instead of in my little hometown) and one of them is starting to get his basement set up pretty good for a training room. I'm going to work with him, and he could be pretty good if he toughens up a little.

Only like 165 lbs so I will be able to toss him around to get him ready.

Only problem is I have the possibility of knee surgery looming over me. YAY!

I'm trying to play hockey this summer so some extra muscle would be a good thing. I'm only around 160 and would like to be around 170 or a little more. Only thing that keeps me from lifting much, is I got a messed up shoulder (some hockey injury that went untreated I'm sure) that hurts.

No everett did. It messed her shoulder up.
He hip-tossed her on the wood floor and she came down on her head and shoulder.

And i cracked my rib the same night.
Either everett or (i think) my friend mark cracked my rib.

Mark lifts weights pretty heavy and is trying to get me to join
    were he works out.
He had this (clueless) look on his face after i rolled with him.

And after i got him with a single-leg take down.
I expected him to sprawl and ended up slamin him kinda hard.

Last time i rolled with everetts woman her and my ex-girl
both losened my teeth with knee,s.

Size isn't everything. In fact, it's almost nothing if the little guy knows what they are doing.

Yeah Siraaron is around 205 and 14 years old and since he has 1 year of
wrestling he is hard to throw off balance.

I have seen and been in street fights with my friend mark who is
also around 200lbs and he can fight and is not afraid of anybody.

But i wadded him up like a ball on the ground.

Everett is going to put siraaron in mma at the local mma place here in shawnee.

No kidding. He was outmatched by over 100lbs in a couple fights. He took a beating sometimes but the other guy always went home crying

So do you plan on staying around 250?
Or trying to lean up and drop to say maybe
    225?

I like to stay 175,ish to (now) 185,ish but need to tone up and
get my cardio back in check.

Usually when mtb,ing either my legs give out or my lungs.
But this is around the 5 mile mark.
Use to do 15 miles 3 times a week but that was about 10 years ago
and the trails i rode were expert class and are now closed.
Newer (easier) trails have opened up and the longest is only 6 miles.
Right now both would give out after only 2 miles or so in the trails

My knee would last all of 5minutes on a trail. Then it would give out and make me faceplant

I'm to the point where my goals are maxing higher on the bench and squat etc. Weightlifting has become my main "sport" so 250+ is where I'm going to be. If I got more lean, I would be losing muscle mass for sure, I'd say I'm in the best shape of my life (muscle wise) and decent for cardio. I hate running inside and my favorite 4 story flight of stairs has been covered with ice and snow for 4 months so I haven't been able to do what I like.
