WORK AROUND FOR DUAL RAID CONTROLLERS
For those wishing to use DUAL RAID controllers (i.e. the Marvell SAS and Intel ICH10R) at the same time, a temporary work-around has been found.

    1) Install BIOS 1102 or later.
    2) Select RAID in BIOS and create RAID on Intel ICH10R controller (CTRL+I).
    3) Reboot and go back into BIOS.
    4) Select AHCI and create RAID on Marvell SAS controller (CTRL+M).
    5) Reboot and go back into BIOS.
    6) In BOOT DEVICE MENU, select RAID SAS as first hard drive, then reboot.
    7) Install OS: for Windows installations, when requested load the Marvell SAS driver and the Intel ICH10R driver.
    8) For windows installations, at the end of the OS installation go to Device Manager and you can see the SAS RAID array and the SATA RAID array correctly configured.

    Tested config:

    P6T Deluxe (rev. ?)
    Gainstown B0 2.4GHz Core i7 CPU
    3 x 2GB Patriot PC3-12800 DDR3 (1600MHz) @ 1.64V

    eVGA GeForce 9800GTX
    ThermalRight Ultra-120 Extreme HSF
    Antec 300 Mid-tower case
PC Power & Cooling 750W PSU

Right now, I'm running into issues pushing past 180 BCLK. Has anyone made it further than that?

Isn't there some issue w/ this board not having a QPI multiplier changing option?

Yes, right now that is what is limiting my OC.

Word around is that QPI is not stable above 4000MHz. And this is right where my OC fails.

ASUS: PLEASE add in the QPI multi adjustment.

The P6T is the only x58 mobo that I have seen that does not have the ability to change that.

    It's a server chip, not a i920.

Brent, that looks to be at least 1 major revision behind what is going production for the Core i7 desktop processors. Are you sure the Bios you are using is loading the correct uCode for the device along with are you getting the proper MRC loaded in your bios?

Yes, this chip is B0, and C0 is release.

The board has the correct uCode (otherwise it would not boot - and we have experienced this w/ one chip).

This sounds like what AMD users experience.

Do other Asus X58 motherboards have this feature withheld as well? Or is it only this board?

you can select from three different QPI speeds. The one you see in CPUZ is half the actual speed much like DDR3 memory reads. So, if it says 3200 the actual speed is 6400. A QPI speed of 4000 is actually 8000!

Brent, you should be able to select a lower QPI speed.

    Hi guys, good thread.

    With 920 and P6T Deluxe I've managed to pass a quick OCCT run at 20 x 195 BCLK. Interestingly, 19 x 200 runs fine but 20 x 200 brings immediate freeze.

Thanks. Temps are nice so far, better than expected (note the low vcore needed even at 3.9 ghz), a little under 60C at load with OCCT. This is with water cooling using the Danger Den block, triple rad, no case.

The ram is OCZ triple channel kit rated for DDR3 1333 C7, 1.65 v. I haven't really dialed in the ram yet but it will easily do 1066 w/ 6-6-5-18 timings and 1.60 volts.

I'll run and post some benches as soon as I get in a little more tweak time. (One thing for sure, the everest bandwidth numbers on this platform are huge!)

ASUS has release a new BIOS for this board, version 0905.

    http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...ELUXE-0905.zip

    P6T Deluxe 0905 BIOS
    1. Fixed the incorrect strings in Simplified Chinese language.
    2. Improve Memory compatibility
    3. Prevent the mouse moving to wake up the system from S1/S3/S4.
    4. Fixed the incorrect color of "Auto" option of setup item "CPU Voltage".
    5. Updated Express Gate Module
    6. Fix RTC Wakeup function fail

In my experience, this BIOS has improved overclockability. I am now stable at BCLK of 205MHz for an overclock of 4.1GHz on the Core i920.

New Intel inf utility ver. 9.1.0.1007
Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility 9.1.0.1007 download from Guru3D.com

Use the -OVERALL command. Or, you will not update.

    readme.txt

    -OVERALL
Updates ALL INF drivers on all available devices
even if third party drivers are currently installed.
This flag works in Interactive Mode only.

I created a directory called Intel. I placed the update utility in there. And created a shortcut. In my case C:\Intel\INF_allOS_9.1.0.1007_PV.exe -OVERALL
