You should get some of this:
2GB (2x1GB) Cell Shock 5-5-5-15 Micron D9GKX - CS2221650 by: Cell
Sure it's not as overpriced as the Dominators but it's more 1337, just ask around on XS.

With all the great deals on ram recently, I've stocked up on 2x1gb ddr2-800 4-4-4-12 kits. Most are about $30AR.
The best of them is the OCZ SLI XTC PC2-6400 4-4-4-12. It runs at 4-4-4-12 1000Mhz 2.2V without breaking a sweat.
The worst is the Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-6400 4-4-4-12. They work at stock, buy the EPP#2 profile is 5-5-5-15 1000mhz 2.2V. They don't even boot at this with 2.3V. Best I get is 5-5-5-15 975mhz. I called Crucial to ask about this, but the guy was clueless that the EPP#2 profile even existed for them. Crucial has a lot of problems with their ram recently, so if I were you, I'd avoid them. All the other ram kits I have can do at least 5-5-5-15 1000mhz 2.3V.

That's funny because my Crucial Ballistix have the EPP#2 and work fine at 5-5-5-15 1000 MHz 2.2V. And that's 4 x 1 GB sticks.

I like the Mushkin Redlines I have, but they don't seem to like low timings. They run great at higher clock speeds though. My last set of Mushkin RAM, DDR2-1066 5-5-4-10 worked great at lower timings and higher speeds until they died because of a voltage issue while running 4 sticks.
Sort of an apples-to-oranges comparison though because my old sticks were 4 x 1GB and my new ones are 2 x 2GB. Still like the Redlines a lot though.

They're good, just ridiculously expensive. Besides, I think a lot of the reviewers use them because they got them as a review sample for free.

Because they use what's supplied, and normal people use what's affordable.
