XP, Vista, going all the way back to probably 95, these operating system license up to dual sockets. (Don't quote me pre-XP, and this info is going by an article I read a while back.) XP and Vista look at the license, look at the hardware, and says that dual core is one socket, dual quad is two sockets, two single core is dual socket, etc.

Now it's a problem with msvcrt.dll which has nothing specifically to do with DX10 I don't think. It's another issue with finding the procedure entry point. *sigh*
