GOD DAMN YOU BIOWARE!
After all the work I put in on the Tali romance option you STILL don't see her face.
(sigh)
Still waiting for my pre-order of Mass Effect 2 direct from EA.
Once I get it (depending on my work load), I will install and get some screenshots uploaded.
So far, I've read nothing but rave reviews about it, so I am hoping it lives up to the hype. But, if it's anywhere close to the original ME, then I doubt I will disappointed.
C'mon UPS...deliver my game already!!!

Same link now has screen shots!
Only played a few minutes and this game is pretty sweet! They have changed the PC version's control, but I think it might be for the better.
A more "in depth" review upcoming.

Downloading currently.Hoping to spend my weekend immersed in this game.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

It's such a great game. I wish they cut back on some of the dialog, but then again, it's what makes it such an awesome series. I really hate Subject Zero though.
I haven't gotten to Subject Zero yet. Just been playing around Omega, trying to do as many quests and side quests there...which wasn't too many. HA!
I do like the planet scanning and probing. I managed to get a ton of materials. Didn't realize I had to go to space port or whatever for more probes...fixed that problem.
Yes, the dialog is a bit long, but nothing that has hampered my enjoyment.
So far....Mass Effect 2 has not disappointed one bit.
Oh, and the best thing - the elevator doesn't take 2 minutes to get somewhere!!!! I do miss the MAKO though. Oh well.
So is ME2 worth dropping $50 bucks for? I'm very tempted to "acquire" it, but if the game is really good (i.e. Fallout 3 level), I'll definitely drop money to support the dev team.

My honest opinion - YES!
The only real problem is like the previous Mass Effect, I don't see too many mods being developed for this game.
Right now, I'm close to 1/2 done, and I had to start over, since my original game was started on my EA account, and I needed to use my Bioware account for all my game add-ons (way to make it easy, EA - but they did fix it pretty quick).
I've gotten about 1/3 of the systems totally mapped out (100%), but haven't even started the 2nd set of team members, since I've been doing my current team's quests.
The action part is similar to Gears of War (IMO), with the cover and shoot part.
Overall, I am loving this game. Is it worth $50...yes. I bought the Collector's Edition for PC, and got the Collector's armor and weapon, along with access to Cerberus network (which got me the Normandy crash and Zaeed downloads). So, I'm totally enjoying this game. The changes are pretty nice, I think. I will try to have a comparison of the old Mass Effect vs. Mass Effect 2.
NMDante, you should enable AA. you have to force it through the control panel, not sure how you do it on nVidia but for ATI you download a hot fix which lets you force it in CCC. looks so much better.

Okay. I will have to check it out. I haven't really updated my video drivers, either. haha. I had that "Film Grain" thing on, too.
I have my graphics set pretty much to the highest settings, but not sure about AA.
I'm about 1/2 done now. Started a big love pentagram, and getting ultimatums now. haha.
Damn it, I'm so tempted in purchasing the ME2, but $60 bucks for a game is just too expensive...![]()

Pretty game, not un-fun... Don't enjoy it nearly as much as the original so far though (admitidly haven't done much but the opening, Omega, and some planet scanning)
They nerfed the RPG aspects of it, and for all intents and purposes there's no inventory to speak of. Combat doesn't feel as fun, and the areas are incredibly linear so far... I guess ME was also pretty linear, but they're so small in ME2.... And what's with that stupid mission complete summary screen crap? *shrug* Comes across as a dumbed down ME to me.
I give it an 8.5/10 so far (9.5/10 for the original!) - It's a really good game, but doesn't hold a candle to the original. I may like it better as it goes, but so far all my complaints about it are structural/gameplay... not plot (although, really.. Lazarus? That has to be the gayest way ever to let you set your class/appearance)

I have ME I still in it's rapper on my desk. I guess maybe I should install it and play it......
It may take a village to raise a child, but it only takes one child to raze a village.
I just started playing ME1 again since I never beat it. Apparently, I had only put 1 hour into the game before not playing it for a while and according to my save game, the last time I played it was back in October 2008![]()
Runs great on my Gateway laptop with max settings. Getting around 40 FPS using the built in FPS counter.
