Why does everyone always pick on poor iiNet? Why not Telstra? Optus? Vodaphone / Hutchinson? Could it be that poor iiNet can't really afford the lawyers to fight this?

iiNet still has the best ADSL2+ service in the country. The quotas aren't bad when you bundle a land line or VOIP with your Internet service. When you want a decent sized quota they end up much cheaper than Westnet, Internode etc. Telstra and Optus just suck so badly in terms of Internet that it's not even funny. I get 30GB peak, 25GB off-peak for $50/month. I don't think iiNet can manage that

How do you manage with 55GB/month? I have 100GB/month (60/40) and it's still not enough.
FWIW, I pay $100/month for 100GB. I haven't seen any other ISPs that offer more bandwidth than that at ~$100/month with ADSL2+ speeds.
I just checked the Optus website and they'll sell you 30GB quota for $100 a month. That and I have idiots from Telstra calling me at least once a month trying to convince me that $65 for 12GB or $110 for 65GB is good value.
