This thing is gonna have to cook and do dishes before I buy it.
Quote:
"Korean website ParkOZ have some pics of a mouse by Zalman. The name is FPSGUN FG1000. Personally i think this thing looks like a robot foot more than a gun.
The price and release date is unknown, but we can expect Zalman will show off this product at CES 2008 in Las Vegas.
Here is some specs:
1. 2000DPI
2. 5 programmable buttons
3. on-the-fly DPI control
4. 1000Hz polling rate
Zalman even sending out two FPSGUN FG1000 for free as a sales promotion, what a pity it seems only for Korean."

weird... I'd like to try one though. Doesn't seem like it has nearly enough buttons though. I want a mouse with at least 6 input buttons plus scroll wheels.
Laptop: Vostro 1400 1.6ghz C2D, 4g DDR2, nVidia 8400, Win7 64bit
HTPC Phenom x3, 2gb DDR2, 9800GTX+, Geforce 8200 chipset
This makes the Logitech G9 look like a marvel of technological aesthetic. If I want a "gun", I'll get a Wii Zapper.

I wonder how many time you would die trying using that thing.

Thats a really weird looking mouse. They should do a test and use that mouse in a fps game then use a real mouse and see if it makes you any worse.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

I think my mouse is an MX500, got it off a friend along with an everglide titan mousepad (big *** mousepad) for fixing his PC over the phoneMy left mouse button doesn't work half the time, not good for pistols coz it doesn't register every one of my frantic clicks. Good exercise though, it forces me to increase my CPS (clicks per second)

I had that happen a while back. Instead of getting a new one right away, I held out for an MX1000. In the mean time, I switched the left and right mouse button functions. Since I normally have the LMB attack and the RMB jump, it was okay to let the broken button be my jump button for a while.
@ OP
Interesting...
I'd have to try it before I could make any kind of judgment.

No, there's always a chance that it might actually be useful, which would outweight the ugliness IMO.

Usefulness would outweigh ugliness, but I doubt hardcore gamers would be willing to trade in their laser mice for a new interface unless it was incredibly intuitive...

Would you really be willing to have two mice? One for games and one for browsing? or do you expect to use that massive epeening mouse to browse the net?
